We are often asked how can I help….luckily there are several ways!

Fostering – Our mission is to save animals lives and this is done by allowing pets to live in our homes until an animal can be matched with a suitable adopter.  Fostering is rewarding, fun and a whole family project.   All of our pets are temperament tested prior to entering our program.   We provide all medical care, food and supplies.  You supply the love, care and some basic training.  Ideally you would also be able to transport your foster pet to and from adoption events.  You can be as involved in the adoption process as you wish.   We will pair you up with a seasoned rescuer to train you and your family.

Events – We have two adoption events each month in addition to one large fundraiser each year.   At adoption events, we need help with set up/tear down of equipment such as tables and crates and dog walkers.   Our pet fairs are located at Pet smart and due to insurance reasons we are unable to work unaccompanied minors.    During fundraiser events, jobs vary so please email us to see what is available.

Some of our best volunteers are young adults.   Here are some of the creative ways Youth have helped the animals in the past:

  • Girl scout/Boy Scout troops can help with their service projects.   Ideas include pet food drives and dog house builds.
  • School classes have helped in creative ways such as pet supply drives, wear jeans/non-uniform for a dollar donation days, one choir class performed for donations.
  • Individuals have made crafts and the profits went to the animals.    Held birthday parities where their presents were donations of pet supplies and two children had an old fashioned lemonade stand and donated over $100.

We are open to new ideas and hope to utilize your skills to help the animals.   Email us with your thoughts!
