Thank You
Wiener Run

First and foremost we would like to thank all of the wonderful families who have supported us by adopting one of our Rescued Pets.  Thank you for trusting us in helping you choose a new family member.

Cricket Adopted July 2006

We also would like to thank Roberta Roberts, LB Trailers, Jason McDougall and all of the individuals who so generously donated to our Mobile Adoption Unit.  "Clifford" the big red trailer, as she has been named,  has been a Godsend to our organization and mission to help shelter pets. It has enabled us become more efficient, keep our equipment together and has already increased adoptions.  In the future we hope to add air conditioning so Clifford could also be used to transport animals in the summer months.  If you would like to donate to the "Clifford Air Fund" it would be greatly appreciated.  We envision being able to use Clifford in disaster situations (such as Hurricane Katrina) to transport large numbers of animals to safety and to help transport during large scale rescues.

We would like to thank the following businesses for their support.

Parks Chevrolet, for sponsoring the "Rescue Me Pet Event on July 29th.  We adopted out 13 pets and raised much needed funds.  If you are looking to purchase a new car, we highly recommend the wonderful, generous folks at Parks....We would especially like to thank Blossom and her mother Sissy!!

Precious Times Consignment Store in Mooresville.  Robert Roberts,  so generously gives her heart and sole, not to mention untold hours to organizing and making the Wiener Run a reality.

LB Trailers in Harmony for their help in choosing the perfect Trailer to meet our needs

Jason McDougall of Pit Gear for our awesome graphics on the trailer.

Pat Griffith of Carolina Paw Prints Grooming in Mooresville.  Pat so generously grooms many of our rescued pets.  Often they come out of shelters in horrible condition and Pat is always willing to squeeze us in on a moments notice.  She has been a supporter of LNAR from the beginning starting with her working well into the night grooming 25 matted half starved standard poodles.  Thank you Pat.

Premier, who makes Gentle Leader Head Collars.   We have tried many types of collars over the years and we have found that Gentle Leaders work miracles. We use it with many of our fosterpets and we have found behavior issues such as jumping and leash pulling are quickly solved.  We strongly suggest if you are experiencing any behavioral issues with your pets you give this collar a try.

We thank you for your support of Lake Norman Animal Rescue and our mission to rescue shelter pets.

Petsmart.... We Thank you for giving us an avenue to adopt out our pets.  Because Lake Norman Animal Rescue does not have a shelter, our weekend adoption days has become invaluable.  We so appreciate your commitment to Animal Rescue Charities and that you do not sell dogs and cats in your stores.  We especially want to thank the management and employees of the Mooresville NC store for being so accommodating and wonderful to work alongside.

Thank you for making this event such a great success!!!!

WIENER RUN 2006

We would like to give a big tail wag and a big heartfelt woof to all the families and their dachshunds for coming out for the 2nd annual Race City Wiener Run.  The event was a smashing success.

Over 200 dachshunds participated in the race and over 2000 people came out in support.  Another hundred or so doxies and their "non doxie" K-9 brothers and sisters also attended.
